AmeriCorps NJ Watershed Ambassadors Participate in Riparian Reforestation Training Day

The entire class of AmeriCorps NJ Watershed Ambassadors worked with the Wallkill River Watershed Management Group as part of a riparian reforestation training day hosted at the SCMUA’s Paulinskill Water Treatment Facility. The Watershed Ambassadors worked in the floodplains to plant 150 trees and shrubs at the SCMUA-WRWMG’s watershed restoration site. The AmeriCorps members also learned about the steps and strategies of planning tree planting volunteer events in their own watersheds. This is an annual tradition that the SCMUA-WRWMG is pleased to offer the AmeriCorps program!
