WRWMG Watershed Director Presents at 21st Annual NJ Land Conservation Rally

On St. Patrick’s Day, Nathaniel Sajdak of the Wallkill River Watershed Management Group had the honor of presenting at the New Jersey Land Conservation Rally alongside Barbara Heskins Davis of The Land Conservancy of New Jersey and Bill Rawlyk of the Open Space Institute. Their presentation entitled, Targeting Land Conservation and Stewardship for Water Quality, specifically discussed the development of the Sussex County Open Space and Recreation Plan Update that was adopted by the Sussex County Board of Chosen Freeholders last year. The presentation was well-attended, and participants walked away with a greater understanding of potential strategies that can be used to complete Open Space Plan updates in other counties throughout New Jersey.
