WRWMG's Watershed Ed Specialist Attends Environmental Leadership Program

Monday, August 01, 2016

Kristine Rogers, Watershed Education and Outreach Specialist for the WRWMG, recently attended the Environmental Leadership Program’s Delaware River Watershed Network, sponsored by the William Penn Foundation. Through twelve days of training and peer mentoring, the program helps emerging environmental leaders hone their leadership styles, improve their strategic and organizational development, and strengthen their outreach capabilities. By working alongside the other participants from the eight sub-watersheds of the Delaware River, Kristine was able to develop a Personal Leadership Plan that will benefit her long into her career while simultaneously building a network of watershed partners who can provide technical assistance to the WRWMG whenever necessary. Kristine will utilize the skills she gained from the training to more effectively organize and lead watershed restoration opportunities throughout Sussex County.
