WRWMG Welcomes New Intern

The SCMUA-WRWMG’s new high school student intern, Owen Helfand, from the Morris Technical School Academy for Environmental Science (housed at Jefferson Township High) hit the ground running on June 25th by joining the WRWMG for a full day of maintenance work at the Town of Newton’s Memory Park Rain Garden. After completing this first day, Owen came back for more and has been on hand for every day of the Newton High School Rain Garden Project. In a very short period of time, Owen has proven himself to be extremely hard working, enthusiastic, motivated, and eager to learn. Not only is the WRWMG excited to have Owen join the team, but it is clear that he is going to provide some valuable assistance to the WRWMG throughout the duration of his internship.
