Stewardship Tree and Shrub Planting along Culver Lake

Today, the staff of the Wallkill River Watershed Management Group along with their new AmeriCorps NJ Watershed Ambassador joined Cerbo’s Nursery to plant native trees and shrubs on a piece of lakefront property that was recently purchased by the Normanoch Association. The property will provide members of Culver Lake access to a new recreational, open space area to bring their family and friends for outdoor enjoyment.

The trees and shrubs were planted close to the edge of the lake to act as a buffer that will prevent polluted runoff from flowing into the water.
