Coming this July: Halsted Middle School Rain Garden

The Newton Board of Education has approved the installation of a rain garden at the Halsted Middle School campus. The SCMUA-Wallkill River Watershed Management Group will be working in partnership with Rutgers Water Resources Program and the Newton Department of Public Works to construct the rain garden this summer. Halsted Middle School students who participate in the Choose 2 Connect after school enrichment program will help to plant all of the flowers and shrubs for the rain garden.
