Culver Lake Foundation Hosts Rain Garden Dedication Ceremony

Saturday, May 18, 2019

The Greater Culver Lake Watershed Conservation Foundation recently hosted a ribbon cutting ceremony at the Normanoch Association Clubhouse to officially unveil the lake’s first rain garden project. The rain garden installation was coordinated by the Wallkill River Watershed Management Group with assistance from a local Eagle Scout candidate.

This August, the Wallkill River Watershed Management Group will utilize grant funding to offer a Rutgers Water Resources Program rain garden training session to encourage local lake residents to install rain gardens on their own properties in order to reduce the volume of polluted runoff entering Culver Lake each year.
