Johnson & Johnson Employees Plant Trees at Wallkill Wildlife Refuge

Tuesday, May 21, 2019

The Wallkill River Watershed Management Group (WRWMG) recently joined forces with the Wallkill River National Wildlife Refuge and the Johnson & Johnson “We Sustain” Program to plant native trees and shrubs along the Wallkill River at the Wallkill River National Wildlife Refuge.

The event was coordinated by the WRWMG’s AmeriCorps NJ Watershed Ambassador and invited Johnson and Johnson employees from Bridgewater, NJ to come up to Sussex County for a day of outdoor learning and fieldwork. The trees were funded by the Lake Mohawk Preservation Foundation, a Sparta-based 501(c)(3) working to protect Lake Mohawk and the surrounding watershed from pollution.
