Pope John Students Work in Paulins Kill Reforestation Corridor

Tuesday, April 16, 2019

Students at Pope John High School worked alongside the Wallkill River Watershed Management Group to plant trees along the Paulins Kill River and to help with reforestation maintenance activities. During the course of the day, 34 Pope John environmental science, biology, and Green Team students learned about non-point source pollution (people pollution), studied live aquatic insects from the Paulins Kill, planted and protected over 100 trees and shrubs, and hiked along the Sussex Branch Trail.
