Planning Underway for Manure Storage Facility

Eric VanBenschoten, the Agricultural Outreach Specialist/Watershed Technician for the SCMUA-WRWMG, was recently out at a Sussex County farm as soil pits were dug to test the feasibility of installing a roofed manure storage facility at the site. Upon completion, the structure will reduce the volume of polluted runoff that enters the nearby Papakating Creek, helping to keep local waterways clean.
