NJ State Fair Comes to Augusta

Thursday, August 03, 2017

Kristine Rogers of the SCMUA-Wallkill River Watershed Management Group and Reenee Casapulla of the SCMUA recently worked together to design the 2017 county building display at the Sussex County Farm and Horse Show. The display focused on the SCMUA’s recycling program and the WRWMG’s new TreeHabilitate stormwater management program. As part of TreeHabilitate, Sussex County residents are eligible to receive free trees to plant on their lawns. The trees will capture polluted stormwater runoff, allowing the water to soak into the ground instead of flowing directly into storm drains that lead to local rivers and streams.

Come to the Ernie Cosa County Building to see our display for yourself! The fair runs from August 4-August 13, 2017 in Augusta, NJ at the Sussex County Fairgrounds.
