Trout Unlimited and NJ Youth Corps Assist WRWMG with Memory Park Maintenance

The WRWMG recently hosted a maintenance event at Memory Park for members of the New Jersey Youth Corps and Trout Unlimited. As part of the event, the volunteers pounded and straightened tree tubes, installed 350 live whips provided by NJ Audubon that will eventually grow into full-sized trees and shrubs, and picked up litter around the stream to prevent the debris from entering the Paulins Kill. In total, 8 bags of garbage and a rusted shopping cart were removed from the park. It was certainly a great day’s work by the WRWMG staff and the TU and Youth Corps volunteers!
